How to prevent issues
In Snapchat, navigate to the Privacy Controls and ensure Ghost Mode is ‘On’ and See My Location is set to ‘Only Me’. On your phone, navigate to Settings, find Snapchat, turn ‘OFF’ Precise Location.
Protect with conversations
Start a chat with the young people around you to learn about the pros and cons of Snapchat. Help make connections to wider risks of location sharing, particularly with strangers and arm them with help seeking strategies.
