Official Opening
On Thursday 8th August, we celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.
We began the day with a whole school Liturgy and Father Alex blessed our Mary MacKillop statue in our new Mental Health and Community garden.
We used this special occasion to officially open this space to our school community. The formal opening was conducted by our student leaders, who turned the soil. Our year 5 students, who co-designed this space as part of their inquiry and design unit, conducted tours for each class throughout the day.
We are excited about all the learning opportunities that will now take place in our Mental Health and Community Garden.
